Privacy policy

Last updated 24 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Fun Doo Testers ("we", "us") collects through www.fundootesters.com, why, and what choices you have. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, and it describes the rights available to visitors from the European Economic Area and the UK under the GDPR.

Summary

  • We collect only what you type into our forms, plus anonymised website analytics if analytics is enabled.
  • We use your details to reply to you and, if you subscribe, to send our weekly email. We never sell your data.
  • You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data at any time by emailing fundootesters@gmail.com.

Data we collect

We collect personal data in three ways:

  • Enquiry forms: your name, email address and the details you choose to share — for example mobile number, company, job role, team size, website and a description of your needs.
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
  • Website analytics (only when enabled): pages visited, approximate location derived from an anonymised IP address, device and browser type, the page that referred you and the buttons you use. We do not send anything you type into a form to analytics.

Data we do not collect

  • We do not have user accounts or passwords.
  • We do not process payments on this website.
  • Your Tester Playground progress and bookmarks are saved in your own browser's local storage. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them.

How we use your data

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal you asked for — the basis is your consent, given when you submit the form.
  • To send our weekly email if you subscribed — the basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
  • To understand which pages are useful and fix problems with the website — the basis is our legitimate interest in running a working website, using anonymised analytics.

Who we share data with

We do not sell or rent personal data. We use these service providers, who process data on our behalf:

  • Google (Google Forms and Google Sheets) stores enquiry and newsletter submissions.
  • Google (Google Analytics 4), when analytics is enabled, measures website usage. IP anonymisation is switched on.
  • Our web hosting provider serves the website and keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
  • Our blog content management system serves blog images, so your browser requests them from that server.

These providers may store data on servers outside India. We may also disclose data where Indian law requires it.

Cookies and local storage

The website itself does not set advertising cookies. When analytics is enabled, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_<ID>) to distinguish visits. The Tester Playground uses local storage to remember your progress on your device. If you close the FDT Partnerships message on the home page, we store the time you closed it in local storage so it is not shown again for seven days.

You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings; the website will still work, though Playground progress will not be remembered.

How long we keep data

  • Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last conversation, then deleted, unless they become part of a contract we must keep records of.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics retains event data for the period configured in our account, which is no longer than 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
  • correct, complete or update it;
  • delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it;
  • withdraw consent you have given, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it;
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in the event of death or incapacity, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act allows.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you also have the rights to object to processing, restrict it and receive your data in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, email fundootesters@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.

Security

The website is served only over HTTPS. Submissions are stored in a private Google account that only the people who reply to enquiries can access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we will notify you and the relevant authority if a breach affecting your data occurs, as the law requires.

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, email us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced in our weekly email.

Contact and grievances

For privacy questions, requests or grievances, contact us. We acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days.
